The Revell U 47 Gunther Prien submarine is one of five German submarine models we sell here on submarinemodels.net. The scale of the U 47 is 1:125. A nice feature from the Revell U 47 is that it is a cutaway. This means that you can see a lot of more detail from the interior. You can see the bunks, the engine room, the bathrooms, the two diesel engines, torpedo’s and some crew figures. The U 47 Gunther Prien is named after it’s captain Gunther Prien who was responsible for sinking the British battleship “HMS Royal Oak”. Later in the war the U 47 was sunk by the Britisch destroyer “Wolverine”.
