1:072 Submarine Models

Another special Japanese submarine is the C-3 class I-53 with Kaiten torpedoes. First made in 1943 in the Kure Naval Dockyard this submarine (three were made during the war) could carry four to five kamikaze human piloted torpedoes on the deck of the submarine. It is known that the I-53 sank the navy destroyer USS Underhill, probably by one of it’s six 21 inch torpedo tubes on the bow of the submarine. The I-53 carries a total of 19 torpedoes. About the model: it is scaled: 1:72, highly detailed and has over 300 parts. This submarine model is for the more experienced builder.

Revell VIIC Submarine

For the more experienced model builder the Revell VIIC submarine model is a real challenge. It’s high details an the scale 1:72 makes the Revell VIIC a very popular submarine model for model builders. It haves 190 parts and is suitable for children older then 13 years because it contains a lot of small parts. The Revell submarine is provided with a display stand so you can put the finished model on your desktop or another place. It requires paint, glue and modeling tools like the most submarine models.
The U Boat type VII/41 were German’s pride during the war. A total of 91 U boats have fought in the war, the first one was deployed in 1943.

Revell Gato Submarine

The Revell Gato Submarine was American’s pride during the World War II against Japan. With 250 to 300 parts the Revell Gato submarine model is a must have for the experienced builder. A finished Revell US Gato Class Submarine will have approximately length of 52 inches. Skill level: 3.
